At HealWave Play Therapy, my mission is to nurture and strengthen the emotional wellbeing of children through the healing power of play. I believe that every child deserves a safe, nurturing environment where they can express themselves, make sense of their experiences, and discover new ways to grow and heal. Rooted in trauma-informed practice and evidence-based approaches, I am committed to using Play Therapy as a powerful medium for emotional expression, resilience, and positive change.
What is Play Therapy?
Play Therapy is a therapeutic approach that helps children express and process their emotions through the natural language of play. In a safe and supportive environment, children explore their feelings through therapeutic mediums such as toys, sensory materials like sand or clay, and creative arts. This process promotes emotional healing, enhances self-understanding, and supports emotional growth and coping skills.
